The Canes already lost defensive tackle Jeremy Lewis with a season-ending injury. Defensive tackle Curtis Porter, who was carted off the field with a knee injury at Ohio State, will be out ``long-term,'' Shannon said. Dressed in uniform but not participating in practice were defensive tackle Luther Robinson and end Marcus Robinson. Both were limping. Shannon said both should be back within the next couple of days. ``At least they're not in a boot,'' he said. Marcus Robinson, however, could not walk after the game and limped heavily Thursday. • Jordan Futch, who played for the first time Saturday since reconstructive knee surgery last fall, might play some base defense at linebacker against Pitt, Shannon said.
