This guy came into The U with a whole lotte hype. He then spent the next year showing flashes of greatness, but generally not living up to expectations. Then came the "Golden Era" and rumors of drug use, and now he wants out. Ok, thats fine and all, but then his father came out and basically said he was leaving because he wasnt good enough to crack the top of the depth chart. Ok, that happens as well. Its usually not put out there like that, but whatever. And now in a most anti-cecil newton turn of events, his father is again at it, calling the transfer rules of Miami "modern day slavery" and saying that his son did not approve of the military style with which Golden runs his program. WHAT?! Your son did not have the work ethic and drive to be a star, seemlingly content to let his reputation precede him and hopefully propel his name to the lights, and when that didnt happen, you think its ok to blast the school because they dont want him transferring certain places? I apologize Mr. Johnson, I did not realize that schools were supposed to bend to the will of one player who was destined for special teams. How silly of them to want to keep you away from the competition!
What a joke. Just pack it up, leave for Blinn College or some such place, and see how it works out.
