In my initial write-up for the 7th Floor on August 16th I discussed that UM Hoops wanted Miami Carol City star guard Deandre Burnett to enroll in August rather than go to prep school. One of his high school coaches told the Miami Herald in July that was the plan but since then there had been no further news. That was until yesterday.

Deandre tweeted to a friend he left this past Saturday who asked which school he was at and he responded "a school in Virginia right now, I will be at the "U" in March." We understand that he was set to enroll at Massanutten Military Academy in Virginia. This leave the Canes with an open scholarship to use either for a class or 12 recruit, a JUCO or other transfer. We attempted to reach Deandre and his family for more information but they were unvailable. We will keep an eye on this development and keep you updated.
