Banged up 'Canes to seek redemption against Bethune.

As if Miami did not have enough adversity, the school announced that starting LB Ramon Buchanon will be out for the season, and undergo surgery on his right knee. Buchanon is a 5th year senior, but could apply for a 6th year via medical redshirt. Here's hoping a speedy recover for Ramon.

Also out for next week's game will be UM's most reliable receiver, Allen Hurns and starting safety Vaughn Telemaque. Hurns sustained a concussion in the first half against Kansas State.

Look for Jimmy Gaines to fill in for Buchanon, Malcolm Lewis and Phillip Dorsett to fill in for Hurns, and Deon Bush to start in place of Telemaque.

Even with the injuries Miami should be a prohibitive favorite against Bethune Cookman. The FBS school from Daytona Beach however, shouldn't be taken lightly. They have a deep experienced offense, and off to a 2-0 start. More scary news for the 'Canes, the Wildcats average 265 yards a game on the ground.

Al Golden and Mark D'Onofrio will have the work cut out for them this week, from both strategic and motivational perspectives. Here's hoping the young "Canes bounce back quickly.
