Sep 8, 2012; Manhattan, KS, USA; Kansas State Wildcats defensive back Ty Zimmerman (12) misses the tackle on Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Rashawn Scott (80) during the Wildcats' 52-13 win at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Scott Sewell-US PRESSWIRE
First, some housecleaning things that we missed yesterday: Ramon Buchanan is out for the year. Vaughn Telemaque will miss at least Saturday's game vs. Bethune-Cookman. Allen Hurns has a concussion and is out indefinitely. So, the Canes will look different here in the coming weeks, that much is obvious.
The full depth chart is under the jump, but let's quickly look at the direct ramifications from those three injuries. Jimmy Gaines will be the starting outside linebacker, which is rather terrifying based on how he's played in the last season-plus. Backing him up will be Tyrone Cornelius, who was terrible last Saturday. The Canes will also rely more on Gionni Paul, who has yet to play this season. Deon Bush and A.J. Highsmith are your new first-team safeties, and I don't think anyone will argue with that. Malcom Lewis, Rashawn Scott and Phillip Dorsett are the new first-team wide receivers, and that is completely agreeable.
Hit the jump for the full chart.
