Here we are again, sports fans. The BlogPoll results are once again posted, and Alabama almost ran away with it. If it weren't for those meddling trees!
A few high points after the jump.
First, the ballot itself, in all it's crimson glory:
Results for Week 3
SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Rankings 2011
-
As you can see, Bama almost got away with it, but Stanfords win over former #3 team Southern Cal robbed them of that single vote they needed.
-
That other SEC team, the LSU Tigers, remains at number 2, and still people are not really talking about them.
- Oregon checks in at three, because they score touchdowns on top of touchdowns, and so what if their defense is a bit weird, they'll just score again.
-
The biggest movers are Notre Dame, who jumped all the way to 11, Stanford who jumped 14 spots, and of course, The Lane Kiffins who fell 13 spots.
-
When it comes to the Canes, yours truly was the ONLY vote they got, and I could care less. Duke Johnson is better than you, and that's why they got the #25 vote.
What are your thoughts on the results? Were people fair to USC in dropping them so far? Is Stanford for real? Hey look! Mississippi State is in there!
