Know Your Worth

We all remember how a handful of guys left early for the draft last year and as fans we can't help but feel grateful for players like Seantrel Henderson, Brandon Linder, and Curtis Porter choosing to stay this year. However, for the sake of boredom and the agonizing amount of days left until kickoff, which I refuse to check due to the possibility of sinking into a deep and football-less depression, I'm going to proposition you with the almighty "what-if."

Lamar Miller, I miss you. Hope your doing well, my deepest love is for the Canes but the Phins are nothing but an awkward cousin to me so I haven't been able to keep in touch. Lamar Miller's leaving early was successful in the fact that he was drafted but the 4th round is a little undesirable due to Miller's potential. Should he chose to stay would have left us with so much to ponder about not only the possibilities of the team with M. James, Miller, and DUUUUUUUUUKE; but with the overwhelming sound coming from ESPN that the draft this year is majorly lacking in running backs you can't help but assume with another year under his belt and lack of talent in the draft this year, his stock would have significantly rose. I respect his decision to leave and he brought us great joy being Canes fam but this circumstance is slightly disheartening.

Tommy Streeter, how dare you. Short and simple, he should have stayed. When it comes to these decisions no one outside of the player himself truly knows what goes on in making that choice but Streeter needed to develop. Unless he can break into the 52 man roster on an NFL team at some point his potential will never be realized and it becomes another disheartening case, even more so than Miller's. The Canes already potent offense would've had another weapon and on the draft standpoint he would of easily had enough time in one year to improve himself from being a 6th rounder.

Marcus Forston, would he have been the difference maker on last year's wretched defense? HAH, no. Although he would've at the very least left the defensive line in better shape. Another year under the belt and he could have possibly saved himself from going undrafted....

GAHHH, alright I'm done.

Now that I'm tired of having these thoughts rear their ugly head, it's now your turn. Hit up the comments for your thoughts and opinions or more than likely your anger towards me for introducing these unfortunate ideas to you.

- Like all of the Canes Family I fully support every pro Cane in every sport. I wish nothing but the best to these players and I want nothing more then to see them perform at their highest level.
