Talented California QB and Three Star Recruit Brad Kaaya Picks Miami

InsideTheU.com/247Sports

The Canes are working hard on the QB recruiting trail this year, with offers out to more than a handful of guys. They already have a commitment from one QB in Alin Eduoard, but picked up another today in Brad Kaaya.

Golden is going back to Cali, and he's coming back with another player. After pilfering the west coast last year to get Devante Bond, he sent his staff back to West Hills to pick up consensus 3 star and pro-style QB Brad Kaaya.

Miami courted Kaaya for quite a while before the QB pulled the trigger. They had to contend with the likes of Arizona State, Stanford, and UCLA for Kaaya's services. There was always mutual interest between Miami and Kaaya, and that interest only grew after his visit to UM.

Kaaya is a pro-style passer that stands 6' 4" and weighs in at 214. He definitely has the build to be an NCAA quarterback, and shows that he has the arm as well. If he can prove that he can manage the mid-range game as well, he could be a very good player for the Canes. He certainly would come in in a good position to threaten the starter, who many think should be Kevin Olsen.

Kaaya is a consensus 3 star commit at the moment, but that could certainly change as the recruiting cycle continues on. He is not the first QB commit the Canes have locked down, as he joins dual threat protege Alin Eduoard on the Canes' commitment sheet. He is also not the last QB that Miami is targeting, as they have at least 4 more that have been offered, and more certainly to come.
