Another day, many Cane's notes to get to. Lets go!!
The Canes Baseball team will be a 2 seed in the Louisville region. The Canes open up again Okie State the first game on friday at 2 p.m. UM will be in their 41st consecutive NCAA Tournament... http://miamiherald.typepad.com/umiami/2013/05/canes-a-no-2-seed-will-play-in-louisville-regional.html
Even Nevin Shapiro is talking smack about the NCAA investigation and the multiple embarrassments it's endured during the process of it's "evidence collecting." He doesn't have the nicest things to say about UM (shocker) but it is kind of funny that the main culprit is slamming those who he tried to help bring UM the "death penalty".. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/videogallery/76071527/Nevin-Shapiro-rips-University-of-Miami-NCAA
Just FYI on Coach Morris, as reported yesterday he was hospitalized before the Clemson game due to an illness. It's being reported it was a minor bout of pneumonia and all is well. He's still in NC receiving treatment but he's looking to get back in the dugout ASAP.. http://caneswarning.com/2013/05/27/baseball-hurricanes-skipper-jim-morris-suffering-from-pneumonia/
As many have expected, it looks like the UM v UF rivalry games will be coming to an end after this latest series of home and home games are concluded. Will they be missed? Absolutely. Does it make sense on UF's side of the fence? Absoultely (I know that's two of the same answers but I digress). Let's face it, UF plays FSU every year and it looks like the SEC will be expanding to 9 conference games per year in the near future. That's a lot to ask for one school to face every year and expect to be hyper competitive for a national title. I wish the series could be continued but from the average onlooker, I understand.. http://gamedayr.com/gamedayr/florida-miami-football-rivalry-over/
Stay classy Canes fans and say a prayer for all those who have given their lives for our country!
