There have been many new and exciting developments during the spring and I would like to bring them up for discussion. Each segment I'll toss out a few ideas and feel free to list your opinion in the comment section.

[]_[] Maurice Haggens. Watching him run this spring causes an overwhelming joy over a position little mentioned in college football recently, the fullback. As Cane fans we know already this is a guy who has everything put together and is a consistent and effective tool offensively. During his time in Miami he has shown great dedication and effort in all his abilities and Haggens might possibly be adding another weapon to his arsenal, the running game. My thoughts and feelings on seeing his run game introduced during the spring, keep it coming. This is a big guy but he's also quick with plenty of football IQ. Coach up on ball security, catching, and implement designed plays for this beast and the explosive offensive will have a ticking bomb waiting to go off in the backfield. Couple him in the run game with Duke Johnson, Dallas Crawford, some new guys or Clements along with our solid O-Line and short yardage situations will soon be embraced.

[]_[] Dallas Crawford. The spring showed well for Crawford as he was able to display all the fight he had in him. Catching the ball well and striving for each yard leads me to believe our possible #2 running back may have a bigger impact than anticipated. With the new guys coming in and Clements healing up it'll be interesting to see how many snaps Crawford will be receiving. Either way I love the fact defenses will have to key on both the run and pass game from him.

Maurice Haggens. Was his run game just a tactic to get other coaches to bite into or will he be another tool we have to throw out at opposing defenses? If so, how often and effective do you see Haggens being? Will his runs be primarily with heavy sets such as the I-Form or goal line situations, or might we also use him in a more spread out setting?

Dallas Crawford. Can you see him being a well received compliment to Duke and sharing major time in the backfield? How effective could he be in the passing game? Could other guys make a push for time?
