I find it amusing that we go under a 3 year investigation by the NCAA for accusations made by a convicted felon that has admitted to perjury, yet they turn a blind eye to the University of Florida who has had countless arrests over the past 10 years. I know that is not warrant enough for an NCAA investigation but what does is the fact that many of the charges were dropped by victims after having met with University officials. Even this case with Hernandez and Reggie Nelson possibly shooting two guys in the middle of the road has an interesting ending. Reggie Nelson was positively identified as having been on of the guys, yet the story is not really becoming public until now, 6-7 years later. I find it funny too that charges were dropped and the story wasn't investigated much further. Hernandez declined to speak with the police without council so that seemed to be a good enough reason to just leave the case alone and move on. Im not going to speculate or give my opinion of what happened based off of the rumors I have heard, but it does seem like something the NCAA might be interested in learning more about. Maybe though, if Hernandez lies in court and is ultimately found guilty, he may decide talk to Yahoo Sports and give the NCAA all the ammo they will ever need.
