ACC Tourney likely headed to the Big Apple

The Nation's best basketball conference is headed to the city that doesn't sleep starting in '17.

SI.COM's Pete Thamel reported this morning that The ACC Conference is very close to finalizing a deal to bring its' basketball tournament to Brooklyn starting in 2017, on a multi-year deal.

Clearly the expansion of the conference, especially the presence of Syracuse, is an influential factor.

The brand new Barclay's Center,  and not MSG, would be the arena.

And while the allure of Broadway (or slightly off Broadway in this case) makes this an exciting deal,  it will be interesting to see if the pricey nature of an NYC excursion hurts fan bases from outside the metropolitan area.
