After the 2nd scrimmage on Friday, a report has come out that Senior QB Ryan Williams will be undergoing surgery for a torn ACL.

On Saturday night, shocking news hit twitter:

Secondary confirmation came quickly

Then, triple confirmation from UM athletics came:

Ryan Williams, a rising 5th year SR QB and odds on favorite to be the starting QB in the fall, may have a torn ACL that requires surgery. We've seen this injury to numerous players in the world of sports over the years. If true, Williams' collegiate career figures to be over, as the recovery from ACL surgery usually takes 9-12 months.

There will be further reaction and updates as this story progresses. But, for now, we all wish Ryan the best as he goes through what has to be a challenging time.
