In the afternoon of a quiet, rainy South Florida Sunday, the beloved Bat Signal hit twitter, courtesy of Recruiting Coordinator Brennan Carroll:
We shortly found out who the commitment was from:
Drew Galitz, a 2-star K/P prospect from Rowlett, TX, is the latest player to commit to the Miami Hurricanes. He averaged nearly 40 yards per punt as a junior, and had 11 touchbacks on kickoffs.
Miami was Galitz's most recent offer on May 1st, and quickly overtook the home team and presumed favorites Texas Longhorns to secure his pledge. And, while his overall recruiting rating might not make fans swoon, Galitz is well known in kicking circles.
