In the link above, Porter reports that the announcement will made on September 23rd, the Friday of the Canes’ bye week.
As the only P5 school without an IPF or plans to build one, this announcement will be a welcomed event I’m sure. The IPF is something that has been talked about for a while, with Mark Richt donating $1M of his own money towards the project, and a previous report that said the announcement was “a hair away” from happening.
Ever since his hiring, Mark Richt has made getting an IPF announced and built action item number 1. His crusade for this has apparently paid off, and we’ll all know the details of this brand new facility in about 2 weeks.
More as it becomes available.
