Quinton Dunbar Doesn't Want To Be Associated With Kansas

(Join the club, kid.)

You may recall that Booker T. Washington's Quinton Dunbar committed to the Hurricanes oh...a month ago? (I'm not looking it up.)

Well, that didn't last long.

Seems someone talked to his momma and has decided to avoid the whole Bryce Brown thing by decommitting now because he does want to look at other schools.  Following the Nike camp at UM, he considered himself "90 percent" - which he doesn't think is enough percentage to be raked over the coals.

"I wanted to avoid stuff like he did," Dunbar said. "I just want to weigh my options, see other schools. I'm not like Bryce, didn't want to do things like that, hurt anyone. I wanted to leave my options open so I can make my decision a the end of the year. I don't want to be seen like a bad guy."

"I really like the Canes, but my mom feels and I feel that I owe it to myself to wait till the end of the year to take other visits and see how I feel...I decommitted today. [Coach McGriff] was very neutral about it, a little upset. But he understands. He asked if they'd still be on top and I said yes."

Yeah...good luck with that.  Nothing to see here, move along.
