Our humble little blog got quite a shout out in the BlogPoll post this week. The main reason is because out ballot was one of the most...skewed from the rest. People vote in this thing how they want, and we are no exception. What they fail to mention when the discuss the fact that we put Miami at 21, is that two other blogs put them higher than that. It was the fact we put them above UF and Notre Dame, due mainly to a bit of trolling, that set it off.
Here's the results:
Results for Week 5
SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Rankings 2011
On to the bullet points!
- Alabama retained the top spot after a win over 4-1 Ole Miss.
- The rest of the top seven maintained their positions from last week.
- After a just startling display of horribawesome football between Baylor and West Virginia, the Mountaineers came out on top, and therefore moved up to 8th.
- Stanford plummeted to 18th. They lost. Duh.
As far as the Canes go, we were by far not the only blog to vote them in, and hell, we weren't even the one to put them the highest! Here's the votes for Miami:
As you can see, we got 9 total votes, with the majority coming in the last three spots. Dawg Sports, From Old Virginia, and yours truly put them higher than 23rd. With a win over Notre Dame, the amount of votes in the top 25 will certainly sky rocket. Here's hoping we shock everyone Saturday night!
