The Miami Hurricanes Recruiting Class of 2014 continues to get better and better.

Already ranked among the top 5 in the country, the 'Canes today added another gem, in consensus 4 star WR Braxton Berrios.  Berrios, who plays QB in H.S.  projects to be a top slot receiver at the next level.

Berrios, who reminds many of Wes Welker, runs a 4.4 40 and has a 40 inch vertical leap.  He is also a stand out in the class room with a 4.3 GPA.  ESPN lists him at 5'9 181 pounds.

"A lot of people compare me to Wes Welker, " Berrios said, pointing to his bodily frame. "In a camp setting, that's my name. I'm a slot receiver. Prototypical, I'd like to think."

"With his ability and his maturity, you could tell that he belonged very early in his career," Leesville Road coach Chad Smothers said. "His maturity seemed to be two years ahead of a normal ninth grader coming in, and I think that’s from hanging around (his older brother, East Carolina receiver) Austin. ... By his sophomore year, at that point there were things athletically he was doing that was starting to set himself apart from other kids."

Berrios chose Miami over South Carolina and Oregon among others.
