In some much needed good news, the Hurricanes phenomenal recruiting class got even stronger today, with the commitment of big time DT Anthony Moten.

The 6-foot-4, 292-pounder originally pledged to Florida on April 2 but began wavering in late June after UF hosted a number of DT recruits, including highly touted Khairi Clark.

It has been widely reported that immediate playing time is at the top of Moten's priority list for a school. His final three included UM, South Carolina, and Florida State.

ESPN ranks Moten as a 4 star prospect and the 152nd player overall in the class of 2014. Scout also rates him at 4 stars and the 18th best DT prospect in his class.

Moten joins Travonte Valentine, Dalvon Stuckey, Courtel Jenkins and Michael Wyche as interior defensive lineman currently committed to the 'Canes in 2014. DT is widely considered UM's biggest position of need in the current roster.

Congrats to Anthony Moten and Welcome to the U!!!
