WELCOME TO THE U! 'Canes Hoops Land Another Transfer

The University of Miami's Men's basketball team lands yet another transfer. This time, it's former Texas Longhorns star guard, Sheldon McClellan.

US PRESSWIRE

Deep into Sunday night, Jim Larranaga and his staff land their third transfer of the offseason. This time, it's former Texas Longhorns star guard, Sheldon McClellan.

McClellan led the Longhorns in scoring this past season, averaging 13.5 points per game on 38% shooting for a team that was struck by scandal and the suspension of Myck Kabongo early in the season.

There's no denying that McClellan can play, but the knock on him has been his coach-ability and his lack of effort at times, but if there's one coach in America that I would trust to change the mindset of a player, it's Coach Larranaga.

Sheldon McClellan will be forced to sit out a year, but still has two years left of eligibility. The staff will have their hands full with McClellan, but the talent is there and it's a big get for the program.

McClellan chose Miami over LSU, Marquette, and Oregon.

WELCOME TO THE U, SHELDON!
