Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas OL Nick Linder attended multiple Al Golden camps this month, getting to know the coaches and his future teammates better.
"I've been to two of them, but not to participate," Linder said. "I went there with my brother (Brandon Linder) and I watched the college guys do their creative excellence... I kind of hung out with the coaches and I also met some of the players."
Asked when he would be down there again, Linder said:
"I'm honestly always down there. I'm there probably once a week with my brother just to do some drills and some O-Line related stuff."
Linder verbally committed to Miami back in March, and so far he's stayed true to his word.
"I came out when I committed saying I'm a solid commit, and sure enough that is what I am," Linder said. "Most colleges know that, but I still get mail and stuff, but nothing serious; I'm all Cane-- I'm real happy to be a part of this class, it definitely has some major talent in it. I think we are definitely putting together a stellar class, it's real exciting."
The rising senior is working hard to keep improving, and he's helping to keep his team on track while they go through their off-season training.
"I'm just working out with the team, trying to get the team better so we can have a good season," Linder said "We have a bunch of big games (next season)."
The 2014 commit will not be able to enroll early, but he hopes to be in Coral Gables by the first summer session.
