Our future linebacker corps just got a TON better. After the first day of this weekend's Al Golden camp wrapped up, Miami landed a huge commitment from Orange Park, FL line backer Darrion Owens. Owens held over 20 offers from schools like Ohio State, Michigan, Auburn, and Georgia, to name a few. He landed his Cane offer back on May 2nd, and today, Coach Barrow landed his guy.

CHECK OUT DARRION OWENS' HIGHLIGHTS ON HUDL

Owens is a 6'3", 216 pound consensus 3 star line backer that runs a 4.6 forty. He has the perfect size and frame for his position, and is basically all you could want in all other aspect of playing line backer. The fact is a 3 star shouldn't deter anyone, as it's clear how highly thought of he is by his long and big time offer sheet.

Darrion is the 13th committment in Miami's 2014 class, and the fourth on the defensive side of the ball. He joins Juwon Young as the second line backer in Miami's class.

WELCOME TO THE U, DARRION!
