Canes DT/OG Jacoby Briscoe Announces His Intent To Transfer

Transfers from football programs are a yearly thing. Earlier this year, Robert Lockhart and Ricardo Williams announced they would be leaving. This time around, it's Jacoby Briscoe.

USA TODAY Sports

As per his twitter account, Canes offensive lineman (formerly of the defensive variety) Jacoby Briscoe will be transferring.

This is not too much of a surprise, and Briscoe was part of the 2011 class that contained a bunch of guys that were projects. He started off on the defensive side of the ball, but was moved to the offensive side this season. He struggled to find a niche on the team, and never played for Miami due to red shirting.

Briscoe was a three star kid out of Louisiana when he committed, choosing Miami over Texas A&M and Tennessee. At this time, it is not clear where he intends to transfer to, or what sort of restrictions will be placed on him.

Good luck to the young man!
