The Canes continue to do work on the recruiting trail, and this time around, they are looking heavily at the wide receiver group after taking one in 2013. Today, at the second day of this weekend's Al Golden football camp, Miami landed a commitment from Santaluces WR Darrell Langham.
Langham is a 6'5", 190 pound wide receiver who had offers from Florida State and Arkansas, among others. He has had interest in Miami since last year, when he attended the South Florida game along with a handful of other commits after also attending the Bethune-Cookman game. He shows good speed, a great ability to go up and catch the ball at its peak, and decent route running ability.
Langham is unrated by 247, but a consensus 3 star recruit across the board. He is Miami's 11th recruit in the 2014 class, and the 9th on offense. He is Miami's first WR commit in this class as well, but he certainly won't be the last. Tyre Brady has hinted at committing soon, Johnnie Dixon has Miami in front, and they are high on the lists of guys like CJ Worton, Ermon Lane, and Travis Rudolph.
WELCOME TO THE U, DARRELL!
