Welcome to the U Omar Sherman!

Miami Hoops' recruiting class for 2014 picks up its' first front court player.

Omar Sherman, a 6'8 220 pound forward from Dallas Prime Prep, verbally committed to the 'Canes late last night. Sherman is ranked as the #93 overall player by Scout.com and ranked as a 4 star prospect and the #14 center in the country by ESPN.

Sherman joins current 4 star PG Ja'Quan Newton and combo guard James Palmer in UM's class of 2014.

He also fills the biggest need for Miami's future, size.  He appears to have plenty of room to grow on his frame and is blessed with very good hands for a big man.
