ACC Power Rankings: Week Two

College football season finally underway, SOTU proceeds with our weekly Atlantic Coast Conference power rankings. Who can prove to be a top tier team in a conference of evenly matched opponents that trade victories each year? Which teams are making strides towards the illustrious ACCCG? How many C's is too many C's? All these questions and more will be answered with our evaluation of the conference power rankings.

1^st - Clemson Tigers - 2-0 (ACC 0-0)

Clemson continues its reign over teams that call themselves Bulldogs. Also, Dabo Swinney threw up ‘the U' to media after Miami's victory over another SEC foe. Thanks Dabo, see you soon?

Previous: vs. Florida Gators; Miami WIN 21-16

Great win for Miami, better win for the ACC. Hurricanes even out the series to 2-2 for the ACC against SEC and Miami notches their overall W/L against Florida to 30-26.

Hokies vanquished West Carolina, now turn their attention east.

6^th - Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - 1-0 (ACC 0-0)

Prediction: Georgia Tech 42-21

Yellow Jackets and Deacons both begin their ACC play in Durham this Saturday. This should make for a good measuring stick for both teams in regards to their ACC standing.

7^th - Maryland Terrapins - 2-0 (ACC 0-0)

Syracuse finally gets a breather from its tough opening schedule against Big 10 opponents and welcomes Wagner to the Carrier Dome.

The ACC's brawl at the bottom of the power rankings got even uglier this past Friday night. Boston College came away with the victory over Wake Forest, but this game was underwhelming to say the least. Glad the game wasn't forced to rival Booker T vs. Central for air time. Thanks, ESPN?
