Injury Report: North Carolina

The Miami Hurricanes are dealing with a plethora of injuries on the offensive-line.

Michael Shroyer

After last week's dominating performance at Virginia Tech, the 'Canes are preparing for a crucial ACC showdown against the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Hurricanes ran riot against the Hokies, and will look to continue that running game domination against a weak Tar Heel defense.

For that to happen, Miami will have to overcome an injury to their starting left tackle, Ereck Flowers. The junior is suffering from a knee injury, and it will keep him out at least a week, and possibly the remainder of the season. He along with offensive linemen Kc McDermott and Taylor Gadbois underwent surgery this past Wednesday. Flower's injury is the biggest loss so far on the offensive-line this season for the 'Canes, and that is saying a lot with the starting right tackle already out for the season.

The injury could possibly push true freshman Trevor Darling into the starting line-up. Darling has performed well on the scout team, and impressed during the summer.
