The 2014 regular season saw many ups and downs for the Miami Hurricanes. One of the high notes is that 6 players were named to All-ACC teams on Monday.

RB Duke Johnson was named first team All-ACC. Johnson, who set the career rushing yardage record on Saturday night, ended the regular season with 1,520 yards and 10 touchdowns on 218 carries (7.0ypc average) rushing, and 370 yards and 3 touchdowns on 33 receptions (11.2 ypc average) receiving.

LB Denzel Perryman was named first team All-ACC as well. Perryman, a finalist for the Butkus Award as the nation's top linebacker, had 102 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 4 passes broken up, 3 forced fumbles, and an interception and several highlight-reel hits during the 2014 campaign.

One of the biggest snubs, in my opinion, is TE Clive Walford being named 2nd team All-ACC behind FSU's Nick O'Leary. Walford and O'Leary are both finalists for the Mackey Award for the nation's best TE, but Walford's season stats of 44 catches for 676 yards and 7 TDs are all better than O'Leary's. Additionally, Walford set Miami records for receptions, yards, and touchdowns for a TE in this season. Walford should have been 1st Team All-ACC.

Joining Walford on 2nd team All-ACC were WR Phillip Dorsett, who lead the nation averaging 26.6 yards per catch, and LT Ereck Flowers, who had an uneven season of performance.

P Justin Vogel was named 3rd team All-ACC. His 43.7yards per punt ranked 22nd nationally.

The other gigantic snub, in my opinion, is QB Brad Kaaya not being named to an All-ACC team. The true freshman, who lead the ACC in touchdown passes, and yards per attempt, and finished 2nd in total passing yards, was passed over by the likes of UNC's Marquise Williams and GT's Justin Thomas. I'll just leave that there.

In addition to those players, 5 additional Hurricanes were named Honorable Mention All-ACC. They are:

QB Brad Kaaya (previously mentioned)
OL Jon Feliciano
OL Shane McDermott
DE Anthony Chickillo
DT Olsen Pierre
S Deon Bush

Congrats to all the Canes who earned All-ACC recognition. The ACC Digital Network video on the entire All-ACC team is below.
