Wherever the 'Canes end up for bowl season, they will may be with out one of their best weapons.

Losing Walford for the bowl game is big. Kaaya's security blanket in the middle of the field. Need Dobard/Herndon/STACY COLEY to step up now

Walford has a team-high 44 receptions for 676 yards and seven touchdowns.
Needless to say Brad Kaaya and Co. will miss him if he can't go.
But on a positive note, this would give more reps for Standish Dobard and Chris Herndon, two players who will be the likely frontrunners to succeed Walford as the starter next season.
Walford has easily been one of Miami's most consistent and improved players this season. Even during the recent slide, he has played some of his best ball.
Here is hoping he recovers quickly and goes on to a successful NFL career, should he miss the bowl.
