Since 2012 there has been little doubt who has been UM's best player.
Need a tough year or two, a blitz pick up, or a clutch play on the perimeter, and Randy "Duke" Johnson was/is the guy.
Last season, his sophomore campaign was cut short due to a broken ankle sustained in the second half Vs FSU.
This year he came back in full force, with something to prove, and despite the team's shortcomings man oh man did he prove it.
Running hard between the tackles, dramatically improving in the passing game, hurdling defenders (sometimes benches), and using his patented stiff arm to perfection, the junior from Miami has had a helluva season.
Today he was named the ACC's Brian Piccolo Award winner, as the conference's toughest:
#Canes RB Duke Johnson named ACC's Brian Piccolo Award winner. Award given to "most courageous" football player in ACC.
