Miami Beats BC 69-42; Scores Second ACC Home Win; Next Game at Virginia

Boston College upset Syracuse Wednesday night, but got throttled by the University of Miami Saturday afternoon at the Bank United Center. Rion Brown led the winners with 22 points and five rebounds. The Canes improved to 14-13 as they notched their fifth ACC win of the season. BC stumbled to 7-20 and 3-11 in conference play.

Rion Brown scored 22 points to lead the University of Miami to a 69-42 win over the Boston College Eagles Saturday afternoon at the Bank United Center.  Erik Swoope chipped in with 14 points to go with his nine rebounds to help lead the Canes to victory.

The Eagles were led by Patrick Hechmann who scored 15 in a losing effort.  He also grabbed five rebounds.  Oliver Hanlan scored 11 points to assist the Eagles.

The Canes scored the game's first five points and never looked back. Miami led by five at intermission, but used an explosive 42 point second half to decimate the Eagles who are the only team to knock off top-ranked Syracuse this season on Wednesday night.  Miami closed the game on an 11-2 run to put the game on ice.

The Hurricanes turned the ball over just 3 times all game! Yes you read that correct.

Manu Lecomte scored 11 points for the Hurricanes off the bench and also managed to grab three rebounds.

The Canes will next travel to Charlottesville to play the University of Virginia on Feb. 26th. the Hoos currently lead the ACC with a 13-1 conference record.
