CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- The Miami Hurricanes baseball team cracked the top 10 in two national polls released Monday, and were among the biggest risers in each of the weekly Division I rankings.

The Hurricanes' biggest jump was in Collegiate Baseball's weekly rankings, where Miami moved from No. 11 all the way up to No. 4. Monday marked the first time Miami has been ranked in the top five by a national poll since March 16, 2009, when it checked in at No. 4 in the NCBWA Division I rankings.

Powered by a perfect 5-0 week and a road sweep of previously ranked-No. 20 Clemson, Miami moved into Baseball America's top 10 for the first time since April 6, 2009, leaping from No. 15 all the way up to No. 10.

Miami (32-13, 19-5 ACC), who has won 19 of its past 20 games and is in sole possession of first place in the ACC, moved up four spots in the Perfect Game Top 25 from No. 16 to No. 12. The Hurricanes also jumped five spots into a tie at No. 14 in the weekly USA TODAY coaches’ poll.

Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field is home to just seven more regular-season games before postseason play begins. Tickets for Friday’s series opener against Alabama State, set for 7 p.m. first pitch, start at just $8.
