The Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Miami Offensive Lineman Brandon Linder with the 29th pick of the 3rd Round, 93rd overall.
Scouting Report: The Southwest Ranches, Fla., native started all 12 games along the offensive line for the Hurricanes in 2013. The versatile offensive lineman made nine starts at right guard and three more at right tackle. He has great size at 6'6 312 pounds, and is a flat out nasty run blocker. Uses his hands well in pass protection but is not a phenomenal athlete. Very competitive and shows good leadership. Durable (42 career starts) as well. Bottom line can play both T and G at the next level and will be valuable as either a starter or back-up at both positions.
Personal: Brother Nick is set to enroll at UM this fall. Won a state championship at Florida prep power St. Thomas Aquinas.
"He's reliable. He's tough and durable. Coaches love this kind of guard ... he'll come into camp, keep his mouth shut and play hard." -- Mike Mayock
Congrats to Brandon, and Welcome to the NFL!!
