Kevin Olsen's inauspicious career at Miami just received another big time setback.

Disappointing news regarding Kevin Olsen. #UM has yet to confirm. But not surprising considering his history. This is why Heaps is here

Adam Kuperstein of WQAM-560, the Hurricanes’ flagship radio station, reported on Friday afternoon the quarterback will be suspended for at least one game after failing a drug test.
If you recall, Olsen was also left home for last season's bowl contest Vs The Cardinals.
Additionally he had a highly publicized off the field incident before ever arriving at UM.
After completing just 7 of 21 passes for 65 yards and 0/1 TD/INT in UM's 2014 Spring Game, he needed a big spring to claim the starting job.
This likely removes any chance he takes the reigns as UM's starting signal caller this season.
THIS is also why Jake Heaps is on campus.
One has to wonder where this leaves Olsen as a whole within the program. With Brad Kaaya and Malik Rosier as young challengers for years to come, this was the kind of mistake Olsen simply could not afford.
More on this story as we learn it in the coming days.
