Injury Report: Duke

Miami's season has not gone picture perfect, but injuries are not to blame.

Joel Auerbach

As the 'Canes head into their pivotal ACC Coastal opener against Duke Saturday, there is a true sense of urgency to win from the fan base and the team. After last season's crushing defeat to Duke, coach Golden can not afford to replicate that result Saturday.

True freshman defensive end Chad Thomas, will most likely be fit to play, after not making the trip to Lincoln, Nebraska last week. He suffered back spasms, and was told that flying would not be in his best interest.

Kicker Matt Goudis who is dealing with a back injury suffered during the off-season, will again be replaced by walk-on freshman Michael Badgley.

Out with upper extremity injuries are both receiver Rashawn Scott and offensive lineman Alex Gall. Scott has yet to play this season, and Gall has missed the past couple of weeks.
