Junior PF Kamari Murphy expected to be a key member of this season's promising UM Hoops Squad, had been suspended the first three games of the season, delaying his debut with UM.
Full release from UM:
University of Miami junior forward Kamari Murphy has been suspended for the first three games of the basketball season for a violation of team rules, the school announced Friday.
Murphy will return to action Friday, Nov. 20 for the second-round game of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
This means more minutes for Ivan Cruz Uceda.
Freshmen Ebuka Izundu and Amp Lawrence could also see more PT as a result.
UM should survive UT Rio Grande Valley tonight, and Louisiana Lafayette on Monday, but they could really miss Murphy's presence 11/19 against Mississippi State in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
Much more on this story as we learn it.
