The outpouring of support for Miami's hire of Mark Richt has been phenomenal. Hurricanes fans and former players have expressed their pleasure with the new coach and expectations for the program has risen. Unifying the fan base was thought to be a tough sell following Al Golden's tenure. With season ticket sales for Canes football already soaring into the 1000s, however, Miami's coaching decision is surely paying off.
The University of Miami announced that 1,025 season tickets had been sold in the last week, and that's excluding renewals.
