Jenkins Ruled Academically Ineligible for Hyundai Sun Bowl

EL PASO, Texas - University of Miami Football sophomore defensive lineman Courtel Jenkins has been ruled academically ineligible and will not participate in the 2015 Hyundai Sun Bowl.

Jenkins will be sent home from the bowl and will not take part in any further bowl activities this week.

Our take: The 'Canes still have Calvin Heurtelou, who has been coming on of late, as well as Anthony Moten and Kendrick Norton. And against the high flying passing attack of WSU, interior defensive lineman are not going at a premium. But this is no way to make an impression on a new Coaching Staff.  Here's hoping he gets things cleaned up before spring practice/next season.
