"He's technically not part of this class, but he's part of our plans for this class," Miami Coach Al Golden said.

Willis was a four-star member of the Gators’ 2014 recruiting class, rated as the No. 6 defensive end in the country.

He's perhaps best known by Gators faithful for drawing a 15 yard penalty for shoving Jameis Winston on the sideline on a play he was not even on the field for.

There were other issues too, including getting into a fight with a teammate.

SO there is a checkered past.

He's a versatile player though, that could see some time on the inside as well as DE in Coral Gables.

He will have to sit out 2015, but will be eligible for 3 years after that.

Here are some of his HS highlights:

Welcome to the U , Gerald!
