MIAMI (Fla.) -- Norland High School Offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort (6'6/310) committed to Miami on Friday, after receiving an offer from the 'Canes at last weekend's sophomore day. He also holds offers from Louisville and North Carolina State.
In a recent interview, Telfort explained that he grew up a Hurricanes fan, and that the University of Miami has been his dream school since he was a child. Armed with that information, he had no hesitation when committing to the Miami coaching staff.
Having the opportunity to represent the city that he grew up in appealed to Telfort, and bringing "The U" back to where it was in the '80s and '90s is something he has his mind set on.
The stud offensive tackle made it clear that there were a plethora of factors that ultimately led him to commit, but the coaching staff made a tremendous impact on him. His designated recruiter is Hurlie Brown, who coaches the linebackers.
Much more on Telfort in the coming months.
