Hurricanes Alum and Potential Hall Of Famer Vince WiIlfork Signs with Houston []_[] Palm Beach Post - When the New England Patriots released the aging star it was understandable his next stop would probably be a place of familiarity as Wilfork can pick and choose his next employer due to his sterling resume. It was only natural he pick the Texans. Former teammate Mike Vrabel (currently a Position Coach) and previous New England Coaches Bill O'Brien (current Head Coach) and Romeo Crennel (current Defensive Coordinator) will help usher in the mountain of a man at nose tackle as they al work for his new team, the Houston Texans.

Coaching Staff Tweaks for the Canes Football Program []_[] Palm Beach Post - As the article points out, there were a lot of minor tweaks that were made at a few position coaching positions as well as staff changes. The one change that fans may have still desired though was for Coach Golden to give up his special teams duties. Per the title given in the article, looks like he is keeping those duties heading into 2015.

You Win Some, You Lose Some in Football Early Season Recruiting []_[] Palm Beach Post - The Canes have seen what could be a record number of early commits for the upcoming recruiting cycle get added to their 2016 verbal commitment list. However, due to these "commits" not being binding we will also see lots of decommitments. Case in point, Isaiah Johnson out of Dwyer Highschool decommited from the Canes today after taking a weekend visit up to Gainesville to take in the sites. We have a long way to go until Feb. 2016 rolls around. Buckle up.

To Win The Recruiting War You Must Recruit Your Backyard []_[] Sun Sentinel - At Miami whether it's the 1980s, 90s or today, the formula for success has been to recruit players from the local area and then cherry pick the national talent from around the country to supplement what you already have. Many have said Miami in the last few years has done too much seeking of talent elsewhere and has not stayed home. If the 2016 Class is any indication of how the staff is going to recruit in the coming cycles (assuming they're around after next season) it looks like the recruiting emphasis will be to keep talent in their backyard from wandering away to other programs.
