Friday the 27th of March

Men's Baseball Team knocks of Tar Heels in Top of the 9th []_[] Miami Hurricanes Official Homepage - It was fireworks night at UNC's ballpark but the rockets may have gone off ten minutes too early for the home fans enjoyment. The Canes scored 3 runs in the top of the ninth inning off of UNC's closer and escaped with yet another conference victory. Their record now runs to 19-8 and more importantly 7-3 in conference play.

Women's Tennis Team knocks of the #8 Ranked Wahoo's at Charlottesville []_[] Miami Hurricanes Official homepage - If you were to ask anyone around the Miami athletic program which sport is currently seeing the most succes, it would have to be the women's tennis team. They knocked off their second top ten opponent of the season in the Cavaliers and their record is now 11-3 and 7-0 in conference play.

Sam Dorman Wins 3 Meter Dive Championship, Sets Record for Score []_[] Swimming World - Sam Dorman, coming off his second place finish in the 1 meter dive a few days past, blew the doors off the competition in the 3 meter championship. He set an NCAA record with his score of 529.10. No NCAA athlete has ever broken 500. He is the first male diver from Miami to win the event since 2008. Interestingly enough, the first diver to win this event for Miami in 1980 was a guy named Greg Louganis, maybe you've heard of him...

For Jim Lararanaga the NIT Finals is Like a Homecoming []_[] NCAA - Madison Square Garden (MSG to many) has hosted Coach Larranaga as a fan, a collegiate player and an assistant coach. This will be his first trip as a Head Coach to MSG and he's looking forward to cherishing the memory and hopefully winning the NIT Tournament.

Saturday the 28th of March

Track and Field Team Team Finished Second at FSU Relay []_[] Miami Hurricanes Official Homepage - Led by the relay teams, specifically the 4 by 400 team, the men's and women's teams were able to secure a second ace finish. The team that took the number one overall spot for the invitation? Ohio State University.

Baseball Team Beats UNC Again 4-3 to take another ACC Series []_[] Miami Hurricanes Official Homepage - Zach Collins went deep in the top of the 11th inning as again the Canes work late inning magic on the Tar Heels for the second straight day. Jim Morris and his unit look to go for the series sweep tomorrow afternoon.

Football Team Spring Game Shows Offensive Side of the Ball is a Work in Progress []_[] Palm Beach Post - Without Duke Johnson and three offensive line starters from last seasons team coming back for 2015 it looks like the Canes maybe in for some growing pains with the new personnel. Brad Kaaya and the offense as a whole didn't really get going in this one until the second half of the scrimmage but most in attendance could clearly tell the offensive line could be the weak link heading into next year if players don't come back from injury (McDermott, Gadbois and Linder) or develop (Isidora).

Brad Kaaya and Coach Golden React to Spring Game Performance []_[] Sun Sentinel - Both interviewee's said the team had to go back and breakdown the film of the positives and negatives from the performance. Coach Golden makes a solid point: in intrasquad scrimmages if someone makes a mistake that usually means the other side is making a positive play. So at least we have that to look forward to...

Sunday the 29th of March

Men's Baseball Losses Finale to Tar Heels 10-3, Wins Two out of Three in Series []_[] North Carolina's Official Homepage - Jim Morris and his squad couldn't pull off the sweep against the number eighteen ranked Tar Heels but did get two out of three in the series. The Canes set their sights to next week where they'll play another Conference opponent next weekend and hopefully another series win.

Women's Rowing Team Finished Third at Invitational []_[] San Diego Crew Classic Ranking - Check out the listings of the four teams that the Cane's sent to the invitational and see how they fared. The highest experienced team (sixth heat) finished third overall.

Women's Tennis Team Losses First ACC Conference Match of the Season to Virginia Tech, 4-3 []_[] Virginia Tech Official Homepage - This loss was a minor upset on a very good season for the lady Canes. Currently they are 7-1 in the ACC and ranked 18th in the nation. They'll set their sights on ACC opponents next week as they come home to the friendly confines of their home court.
