The 20th of April

Men's Baseball Ranked Third in the Country in RPI []_[] NCAA - The consensus of the Coaches Poll and other ranking systems has Miami ranked anywhere from 11th to 14th but the RPI which is a computer weighted system is a tad bit generous for the Canes. As of Monday their record is a stellar 30-11 heading into the home stretch of the season.

The 21st of April

Promotional Video of Sun Life Stadium Post Renovations Released to Public []_[] Palm Beach Post - Fans have always knocked Miami on the facilities that the Canes play/practice in. What can't be denied, and this isn't "homer speak" either, is that once SLS is done with the renovations the venue will be a top 10 football venue in the country. Pro or college.

Men's Tennis Ranked 12th Heading into Conference Tournament []_[] Miami Hurricanes Official Homepage - They pair up with Duke in the first round of play who, as a team, is ranked 5th in the Conference Tournament. Let's hope they can spring an upset over the Blue Devils and keep their season going!

The 22nd of April

All you need to know on new Assistant Jamal Brunt []_[] Miami Hurricanes Official Home Page - With Miami losing an assistant due to a promotion to another program, Coach L had to go out and find another to fill the void. He landed on Jamal Brunt who is both a scheduling guru and a top recruiter familiar with the Virginia and DC area. Just like the last few seasons, look for Miami to lean hard on the Virginia through New York region of the country for some of their top talent on the court.

Series Finale Versus FAU Postponed Due to Rain []_[] State of the U - The game has been rescheduled to May 16th. The Baseball team will look to win the series (currently tied at 1 a piece) against an upstart Owls team that is currently ranked in the top 25.

Offensive Lineman Suspended and Awaiting NCAA Appeal []_[] Palm Beach Post - Potential starter Taylor Gadbois has been suspended from the Canes program for violating an NCAA rule. Al Golden said that once they know the ruling by the NCAA he will make it known to the media.

Brad Kaaya The Best QB in The State []_[] ESPN - Andrea Adelson breaks down why Kaaya is more advanced a passer when being compared to the competition. In this case, she's specifying the talent at Florida and Florida State.

The 23rd of April

Men's Tennis Team Silenced By Duke in First Round of ACC Tournament 4-0 []_[] Miami Hurricanes Official Site - Just as they entered as the under dog (12th ranked to Duke's 5th seed) the Canes went out and tried their hardest but couldn't score a single victory against the Devils and thus their season is over. Here's to building towards next season, guys.

The First ESPN 300 for 2016 Football Recruiting Classes Revealed []_[] ESPN - The Canes come in at number two ranked in the country behind the Florida State Seminoles who have two 5 star players (a quarterback and corner back). The Canes sit pretty with their 20 or so verbally committed recruits over the last several weeks so we'll see if they make a hard charge for the number one spot or if they stay in the top five as the season progressed.

Manu Lecomte Transferring to Baylor []_[] Miami Herald - Lecomte opened up to the media after he made his decision on where he would play next season and specifically why he left UM. The two reasons he sighted were playing time (even though he started 23 games last season) and also having to play shooting guard instead of his favored position, point guard.

Men's Baseball Player David Thompson Overcomes Health Scare to Thrive on the Diamond []_[] Sun Sentinel - Thompson had blood clots from his shoulder to his rib cage last year that had him on the DL for 32 games. After the medical procedures to fix the ailment he didn't know if he could or even would play baseball again. Yet there he is, one of the top home run hitters and RBI producers in all of college baseball. Pretty good recovery if you ask me.
