After losing a 17 inning thriller on Friday Night, and getting crushed on ESPNU last night, perhaps UM's baseball team was a little angry?
They played that way today, banging out 18 hits in a 12-0 shut out of Florida State.
George Iskenderian was 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored, and Zack Collins, David Thompson, Willie Abreu and Garrett Kennedy all went yard in the blow out.
UM scored in each of the first 5 innings, to build an 11-0 lead.
Enrique Sosa (6-3) threw 6 shut out innings for the win.
While the win does little does not erase the two very painful losses of the previous two nights, perhaps it will trigger a hot streak.
The alternative, getting swept at home by the Seminoles, could have been a crushing blow that sent the season spiraling downward.
Long story short, today was a must win, and the 'Canes got it.
Miami returns to action next weekend Vs Pittsburgh, at Pitt 5/2-5/3.
