Miami Hurricances' Clive Walford Selected by Oakland Raiders in the 3rd Round

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The University of Miami has had no shortage of successful tight ends in the NFL.

From Bubba Franks, to Jeremy Shockey, to Kellen Winslow, to most recently Jimmy Graham, UM is TE U!

Well you can add a new candidate to the list, as Clive Walford was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the  3rd Round of the NFL Draft tonight.

The Raiders, who added Amari Cooper in the first round, have now added some nice weapons for 2nd year QB Derek Carr.

Walford,  who improved every facet of his game every season in Coral Gables, is ready made for an NFL passing game.

He has great hands, runs sharp routes, and is tough after the catch.

But the former Bell Glade product is also underrated as a run blocker, and could be an every down NFL player with some seasoning.

More on Walford below:

Runner up in The Mackey Award for 2014's best college tight end.
