Just a quick update on a couple items from today

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Hey guys. Couple quick pieces of information for you:

OL Joe Brown transferring

Per multiple reports, RS Frosh OL Joe Brown is tranferring from Miami to be closer to his California home.

Brown was a reach as a take when he came in the class of 2013, so it's not surprising that with a new staff, he's decided to go elsewhere.

We wish Joe all the best in his future endeavors

New DT prospect visits campus

I've said it about a million times, but with a new staff and new connections, there would be plenty of new names to pop up on the Canes' radar before NSD.

On Saturday, 3-star DT Briston Guidry from Metairie, LA was on campus. At this point, it's unclear whether this visit is an official (paid for by the school) or unofficial (pair for by the player and their family). In either case, this shows that the new staff is not content with what we have on the board at DT and is actively looking at other prospects.

Guidry, who is currently committed to Arkansas, would be a nice addition to this class. He is not, however, a day 1 impact player. If he were to come here, you'd be looking at a 2017-2018 ETA for impact from him. Just so you know. Anyways, here are his HUDL highlights.

That's it for now.
