Welcome to the U Dejan Vasiljevic: Miami Basketball Picks up Talented Aussie Guard

Coach Jim Larranaga and Miami's Basketball staff just helped the class of 2016 get a little stronger.

Already boasting McDonald's All-American Duane Huell, top 50 prospect Bruce Brown, and Oak Hill Academy big man Rodney Miller, they added talented Australian combo guard Dejan Vasiljavic to the class this morning.

Vasiljevic picked UM over Stanford and a host of other interested programs.

Some Highlights:

The first thing you will notice about the Aussie native, is how much fire he plays with.

He also has unlimited range on his jumper, and is a developing passer with a pretty good all around floor game.

Think Jack McClinton (with not quite as wet a jumper yet) and more natural PG skills.

He's also significantly bigger at 6'4.

Vasiljevic probably projects to play both G spots initially, but could eventually develop into a PG.

His ability to put the ball in the basket is his most pronounced skill for now.

Make no mistake about it though,  this is a HUGE get for the program.

Welcome to the U Dejan!!
