Ford, who was initially offered by the previous coaching staff, quickly became a top target for Mark Richt and the new staff. At 6'5" 250lbs, Ford has very good size and will only continue to develop. While he only has 14 offers at the current moment, Ford is a very talented player, a high 4-star prospect who figures to end up with 40+ offers at the end of his senior year.
Ford has elite level talent, and the thought of him develop under the watchful and seasoned eye of DL coach Craig Kuligowski is something all Miami fans should be excited about. There are still 12+ months before his signing day, but Ford is the kind of player who can end up being the foundation of the 2017 recruiting class.
Ford plays both DE and DT at the high school level, and could develop nicely at either spot moving forward. He is the 11th commit in the 2017 class, and the 1st defensive lineman in that group. You can see his HUDL highlights below.
