Denzel Perryman: AFC Defensive Player of the Week

ProCanes keep ballin’. This time, 2nd year pro LB Denzel Perryman was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week!

Perryman won the award for DPOY after having 7 tackles — including a crucial stop on 4th down — and an interception in San Diego’s 33-30 overtime win against Atlanta. Here are a couple more tweets/stories about Perryman’s great game:

Canes Hoops picked 9th in pre-season ACC poll

Coming off an appearance in the Sweet 16, the Miami Hurricanes were voted 9th in the ACC in this year’s pre-season poll.

If that seems low to you, 1. it is, and 2. that’s okay. Over the course of our time in the ACC, the Canes have overperformed their pre-season projected place many times. How many? See for yourself:

So, yeah. Canes hoops is just going ot have to go out and earn their respect, just like we have repeatedly in recent years.
