ACC Power Rankings: An ACC weekend ripe with excitement brings big changes to the rankings

The Atlantic Coast Conference was ripe with excitement this past weekend. Atlantic Division heavyweights Clemson and Louisville highlighted the week’s action with the winner taking an early lead in the race to the ACC Championship Game. In the Coastal Division, North Carolina knocked off Florida State to move to 2-0 in conference play and Miami entered the fray with a victory over Georgia Tech.

As teams surge deeper into conference schedules, every game carries more importance, and the weight of an undefeated conference record grows heavier. Just as the college football season has ramped up its intensity, so too have our rankings. We’ve forgone divisional rankings and from here on out will rank the ACC 1st through 14th, excluding Notre Dame because…reasons.
